Jaguar Chorale

The Jaguar Chorale is the Varsity Mixed Choir and flagship choral ensemble at FMHS and is comprised of Sophomores, Juniors, and Senior (Freshmen seldom sing in this group).

Jaguar Chorale requires a full year commitment.  Membership is by audition only and singers are expected to participate in Voice Lessons, All-Region, All-State, the school musical, and Solo & Ensemble Contest.  All members of Jaguar Chorale also perform in Con Fuoco (Varsity Treble Choir) or Con Brio (Varsity Tenor Bass Choir).

Jaguar Chorale sings a variety of music styles, from pop and jazz to concert literature. The group has won numerous UIL “Sweepstakes” Awards, as well as receiving performance honors in performances in New York, Breckenridge, Los Angeles and San Antonio.  The Jaguar Chorale has performed at the Texas Music Educators Association Convention (twice), as well as the Southwestern Division American Choral Directors Association Convention.  Choral works have been commissioned for the Jaguar Chorale by Donald Bailey, Dale Trumbore, Tim Takach, Paula Foley Tillen, and Joshua Shank.
